"Hotel Tropical da Cataratas is the perfect location for viewing Iguassu Falls. We could see part of the falls from our room, and hear the roar of the water at night. It was fabulous!"

"The Tropical is a lovely old hotel, but its plumbing and air-conditioning leave something to be desired (unless you are a student of 1950s plumbing systems)and overall it's a bit less impressive than its reputation suggests. On the other hand it is well-situated for the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls and pretty atmospheric. In some ways, however, it is some ways, however, it is perhaps not quite up to its star-rating. It's very well-situated for the Brazilian airport, less so for the Argentine one."
